Suspect 7 Spotlight

Suspect 7 is an infiltration and close combat specialist, a lone operative capable of acting independently or coordinating with conventional forces. Sort of. Suspect 7 is, in fact, both an individual and a team—one person and several, who are the same. Yes, I know how that sounds. Look, you’d better strap in; this ride gets a little bumpy.
The best theory anyone has is that the rift generator [Suspect 7 has in her possession] allows the user to enter alternate dimensions, rather than skimming along the edge of this reality the way slip drives do. What seems most likely is that Suspect 7 stayed in those alternate dimensions long enough to find her counterpart there and recruit her to come to this dimension as an assistant. This is apparently confirmed by the fact that, during the last cycle, Suspect 7 has ceased operating alone. She now heads a team of physically identical members; bio scans reveal them to be physiologically closer than twins. We’re working with the idea that Suspect 7 is actually a team of functionally identical killers.

Hey all! The holidays are upon us and Relic Knights has three holiday releases dropping this month on Black Friday. Joining us to spotlight these releases is Jarrod Kintzi. Not only is Jarrod a big fan of Relic Knights. His contributions to the community and behind the scenes have been instrumental in the relaunch of Relic Knights. I will now turn it over to Jarrod to cover the first Relic Knights Holiday reveal: Suspect 7 is a highly mobile melee assassin squad, giving Black Diamond cadres that include them the ability to apply pressure to enemy backlines.
Act as One allows the squad to treat cohesion as up to 9” instead of the normal 3”. Spreading out, this squad of up to 3 models can threaten a wide area. A move stat of 7-4 with feint on a defensive press and the potential to charge when attacking all allow Suspect 7 to slip around the battlefield, striking from any angle. And that threat is elevated with the use of Shadow the Target, allowing Suspect 7 to move when their target moves.

Unseen Strike is Suspect 7’s main attack. With a base damage of 6 and conditional Charge 4, Suspect 7 can dash in to finish off a target after an ally’s attack. Even better, Unseen Strike can be pressed to Heal 2. Combined with their innate Regenerate, they can be very hard to kill. Assassinate does exactly what it says with a potential 9 damage when targeting the enemy leader. It can be pressed for Piercing 2 and Overcharge to ensure maximum damage. And both of these attacks benefit from Suspect 7’s Precision ability, reducing enemy defensive flips by 1.
Suspect 7 pairs well with the Field Medic (included in the Black Diamond Battle Box). The medic’s healing combined with Suspect 7’s built-in Regenerate means that models can keep being brought back to strike at targets. And thanks to Act as One, it’s easy to keep a model safe and in a position to be healed.
