Alisyn Inferno Spotlight

Longtime fans of Relic Knights might recognize Alisyn and Bento as the winner of a ‘design a character’ contest from when 2.0 was announced. Ignition Core Games is proud to finally bring their creator’s vision to the table. 

Questing Knight Alisyn is ready to lead Radiant cadres with a mix of fire and ice themed abilities. Alisyn and her cypher, Bento, have been beautifully sculpted and make for an imposing team. With a fiery presence and a cool head, Alisyn offers a new way to approach Radiant cadres. 

Let’s start with Alisyn’s fiery side. Her Cadre Ability, Unrelenting Storm, allows any friendly unit to discard a card after being attacked to inflict Burning 2 on the attacker. Follow this up with her Multiple Blaze attack to stack even more burning on her target. And if she deals damage, she can make another Multiple Blaze attack; turning up the heat on the same target or lighting another enemy on fire. Finally, Heat Wave is a great option to damage multiple units at once, and if pressed will push enemy units away, giving Alisyn some breathing room.

When fire won’t accomplish her goals, Alisyn can turn to the cold power of Icy Grasp. Her area of effect action combos nicely with her Cadre Ability, dealing as much damage as there are tokens on the enemy unit. If pressed, it will slow them down or even freeze them in place. Alisyn’s defense, Frost Armor, can be pressed for a similar effect - stopping the attacker from making a follow-up move. 

Alisyn’s cypher, Bento, has actions that will be useful in any cadre. Chew Toy can do quite a bit of damage against targets engaged with Alisyn. And if pressed, Overrun lets Bento such threats away. Rescue instead lets Bento move 4’ and bring a friendly unique model with him. 

While Alisyn is an excellent leader for any Radiant cadre, units that can give out status conditions are worth recruiting in order to get the most out of Icy Grasp. Consider the Sundown Enforcers, Combat Armor Cordelia, or Hardshell for Hobble, and Swordsworn for Bind.
