Every famous driver requires glamor, romance, excitement, and just the hint of scandal. No one reaches the heights of racing success without them, but you must learn balance, grasshopper. Malya has managed to get the mix just about right, boosted by her royalty and backed by a once-in-a-generation talent for navigating a track. Heiress to the throne of Ulyxis, a champion through native skill and determination, the publicly anointed face of Cercian resistance to Guild oppression, Malya is everything this planet loves in a racing heroine. More than that, she’s the real deal. All she is, save the royalty, she has earned on her own.

Ignition Core Games is very excited to add the first Relic Knight, Princess Malya, back to the Relic Knights lineup. By now I'm losing count of how many Relic Knights minis we've resculpted, but I think Mr Tomn and Relic Knight Princess Malya put us at our ninth and tenth resculpted mini respectively. And this particular one might just be the best one yet.

Just like the resculpt of Relic Knight One Shot, this kit will include two poses for the Knight, allowing players and painters to chose between the classic pose and an all new one that shows this beautiful Knight off from a different angle. Having trouble deciding which pose you prefer? Paint both and switch them out. Princess Malya on her Relic Sedaris is a striking piece to have at the center of your Cadre.
As we have done with the rest of the Cerci Speed Circuit lineup, we will turn things over to Shannon Bourke to talk about the gameplay and tactics associated with The First Relic Knight, Princess Malya.
No one shows off the pace and excitement of the Speed Circuit like Princess Malya! Costing 19 points to field she brings spectacular speed to the table. Malya’s Cadre ability - Dash allows you to double the initial move value of your units for the cost of discarding one card! This will make many of your units able to cross 75% of the battlefield in a single turn!
Her Whirlwind AoE debuff can make this feel even faster by Hobbling your opponents units for 2 blue Esper.

Malya is not just a speedster, she also has a solid set of attack options. My favourite being Hit and Run. This melee attack starts at 5 damage with Feint 4, costing only 2 Green Esper. Pressing for 1 Red Esper will add Charge 4. Allowing Malya to duck into melee range, strike and then withdraw. Another 1 Red esper press will add an additional 3 damage to her attack!
Melee is not Malyas only attack option. Costing 3 Green Esper for 6 damage, her Energy Blast ranged attack is very nice. Pressing Energy Blast for 1 Red Esper adds 2 more damage and then another 2 Red Esper adds Overcharge! Now we have a ranged ability that will take a chunk out of anyone in her sight.
Malya’s cypher Mr Tomn brings considerable support to the table. Bunny Bite is spot on the average damage for a cypher. But it comes with Charge 6 and when pressed gains damage 1 and Feint 3. Making him a nimble little fellow for surprise attacks on unwary opponents.

His Esper Wave is Push 4 all opponents within 6”, great for clearing opponents units from objectives. Or out from behind cover. His Shield Booster AoE buff grants, not only 2 Shielding to friendly units with in 3 inches, but has a 2 orange Esper press that grants friendly units Negate.
Princess Malya and Mr Tomn are an undeniable force on the table top and will lead any Cerci cadre well.
Thanks Shannon, for the in depth articles on Cerci Speed Circuit's re-launch lineup!
Princess Malya's Cadre Ability and Mr Tomn's AoE buff both play nicely with the units in the Radiant half of the Radiant vs Void Two Player Starter Set.
She really shines leading the units from the Cerci Speed Circuit Battle Box, bringing the points total up to 39 after she trades places with Suicide Queen, leaving more than enough room for a Hardshell or Rin Farrah in a 50 point game.
Those are all the unit reveals, but we still have one last thing to show off soon from our friends at Warsenal. You can subscribe for updates here (if you haven't already).
Reapercon is just a week away and I look forward to seeing many of you there.
