To the ignorant universe, no other noh embodies cruelty, bloodlust, and brutal carnage nearly so well as Kasaro To. The Beloved of Nozuki has cut a swath of destruction in the name of the Endless Hunger since receiving his cypher almost 8,000 Alliance-standard cycles ago. His divine favor is renowned. His personal power is staggering. His battle prowess is an axiom among our people. Kasaro To sees the universe as a vast pen of cattle fit only for enslavement and sacrifice. Were this the end of this thinking or skill, he would not be the Anointed of Nozuki.Â
By profession, Kasaro To is Vidatu, the Grand Slave Master, of Dragon Fleet To. For centuries, his skill and cruelty made our slave holds the envy of the other fleets. Nozuki rewarded this service with a cypher and—thus far—the only relic among our people. In Nozuki’s own voice, the priestesses proclaimed Kasaro To chosen, the Beloved of the Hydra God.
A relentless and brutal warrior, he drives his troops and himself with a fiery strength that leads many to believe him divinely inspired. Surely, only Nozuki could guide this warrior to victory after victory against such odds as he often faces. These fools underestimate Kasaro To. True, the Hydra God has on occasion directly intervened on our behalf. But Kasaro To’s success is more a product of his own power, insight, and determination than anything else.

Standing tall atop his Relic, Kasaro To’s presence on the battlefield is undeniable. With a re-sculpt that is equally inspiring and imposing, Noh Empire’s Relic Knight is ready to unleash the full might and fury as Nozuki’s chosen.Â

Like other Relic Knights, Kasaro To comes with a high recruitment cost that reflects the impact he has on the game. Read on for a look at some of the ways Kasaro To can lead your cadre to victory.

Let's start by looking at Kasaro To’s Cadre Ability, Murder Spree. After completing a successful melee attack, discard 2 cards to take another melee attack action. This expensive ability can help you quickly thin out your opponent’s forces, but it can just as quickly deplete your hand.Â
Serpent’s Coil is Kasaro To’s melee attack. For 2 red Esper, Kasaro deals 5 damage, with Charge 4, letting him move up to 12 inches before attacking thanks to his initial move of 8 inches. The attack can be pressed with 2 green Esper an additional 5 damage, and if Kasaro To has a Power token, it can be discarded to give the attack Overcharge. With Murder Spree, Kasaro has the potential to 20 damage in a single activation.
At range, Snare and Call to Slaughter provide utility. These attacks aren’t flashy, but they give Kasaro To tools for when brute force won’t solve a problem. Dimensional Gateway is Kasaro To’s only support action, but it is quite powerful. For 3 orange Esper, you can place any unit that Kasaro To can see within 3 inches of Kasaro. The ability to quickly reposition other units opens up a dimension of gameplay that very few other units can match. Kasaro can exploit gaps in your opponent's defense or move an ally to deny victory points.Â

Azi is well situated to support a cadre led by Kasaro To. Ankle Strike and Hurl give Azi ways to ensure that your other units have melee targets. Incite helps get around Murder Spree’s high cost by giving a unit 1 or 2 Power tokens; when used on Kasaro To it also guarantees he can pay for the Overcharge on Serpent’s Coil.Â
Kasaro To pairs well with Mikhael from the Radiant vs Void Two Player Starter as well as Alabaster Automata - both units have powerful melee attacks to pair with Murder Spree. Infiltrator Candy and Cola is also an excellent choice, as Azi can help her use Unleashed Potential more often.Â
